The purpose of this website is to provide a central location for residents to share evidence of flooding in Chelmsford, Essex, UK, including photographs, videos, and testimonies, in addition to historic evidence such as newspaper cuttings. By combining this with hydrometric and rainfall data we will produce a comprehensive flood record for Chelmsford.

 

The aims of this project are:

• to raise awareness

• to inform planning strategy and influence decisions

• to inform flood mitigation strategy

Which we are doing to safeguard our homes and businesses from flooding due to the increasing risks from climate change and overdevelopment.
